Luke 4:16 Then Jesus went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath he went as usual to the synagogue. He stood up to read the Scriptures Luke 6:5 And Jesus concluded, "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." ["on the Lord's Day" Rev.1:10]:6 On another Sabbath Jesus went into a synagogue and taught. Luke 23:55 The women who had followed Jesus from Galilee went with Joseph and saw the tomb and how Jesus' body was placed in it.[Jesus died for you! John 3:16to18] Luke 23:56 Then they went back home and prepared the spices and perfumes for the body. On the Sabbath they rested, as the Law commanded. [ 1 John 5:3 For our love for God means that we obey his commands. And his commands are not too hard for us,] |

Act 17:2 According to his usual habit Paul went to the synagogue. There during three Sabbaths he held discussions with the people, quoting :3 and explaining the Scriptures, and proving from them that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from death. "This Jesus whom I announce to you," Paul said, "is the Messiah." Act 20:7 On Saturday evening we gathered together for the fellowship meal. Paul spoke to the people and kept on speaking until midnight, since he was going to leave the next day. :8 Many lamps were burning in the upstairs room where we were meeting. ...:11 Then he went back upstairs, broke bread, and ate. After talking with them for a long time, even until sunrise, Paul left. |

PRAISE JESUS!!! Act 16:13 "On the SABBATH" we went out of the city to the riverside, where we thought there would be a place where Jews "gathered for prayer." We sat down and talked to the women who gathered there.:14 One of those who heard us was Lydia from Thyatira, who was a dealer in purple cloth. She was a woman who worshiped God, and "the Lord OPENED HER MIND" to pay attention to what Paul was saying.:15 After she and the people of her house had been "BAPTISED," she invited us, "Come and stay in my house if you have decided that I am a true believer in the Lord." And she persuaded us to go. |
